† Epachthosaurus — a Late Cretaceous titanosaurian sauropod from Patagonia, Argentina. Large herbivore with a robust vertebral column (epachthys = thick-heavy). Known from the Bajo Barreal Formation. Among the titanosaurs that flourished in South America during the Late Cretaceous before the K-Pg .
