† Massopoda is a clade of sauropodomorph dinosaurs encompassing the last common ancestor of Plateosaurus and all sauropods, plus descendants. Characterized by features of the ankle, massopodans first appear in the Late Triassic and include the giants of the Jurassic and Cretaceous.
