Anabernicula robusta is an extinct duck from the Pliocene of North America. The most robust species in the genus, it was a larger and sturdier dabbling waterfowl compared to the gracile A. gracilenta. Known from Great Plains fossil sites, it inhabited the lakes and marshlands of Pliocene North America during a period of significant climatic cooling and grassland expansion.
Diet & Feeding
Anabernicula robusta was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
