Mwalau walterlinii is an extinct fruit dove (Columbidae) from Vanuatu in the southwestern Pacific. Known from subfossil Holocene bones, it represents pre-human Pacific island biodiversity lost to hunting or habitat change.
Diet & Feeding
Mwalau walterlinii was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
