† Palaeophoyx columbiana was an extinct heron-like pelecaniform (Ardeidae) from the Miocene of the United States. A piscivorous wading bird, it inhabited Pacific coast wetlands of North America. Its fossils document early New World ardeid diversity during the Neogene.
