Uintornis lucaris is an extinct passerine or near-passerine bird from Eocene deposits of the Uinta Basin, Utah. These early Paleogene birds from the Green River Formation provide evidence for the rapid diversification of land birds after the K-Pg extinction.
Diet & Feeding
Uintornis lucaris primarily fed on insects and other small invertebrates. Insectivorous dinosaurs were typically small-bodied and agile, with adaptations suited for catching small prey.
