Arenysaurus ardevoli

Described in 2008, Arenysaurus ardevoli was a lambeosaurine hadrosaurid from the Tremp Formation of Aragon, Spain. Among the last European dinosaurs, it lived on the Pyrenean island archipelago close to the end-Cretaceous extinction. Its hollow cranial crest was likely used for visual and acoustic display, and it provides key data on European hadrosaur diversity in the final stage of the Cretaceous.
