Dzharaonyx eski

† Dzharaonyx eski is a troodontid dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Bissekty Formation of Uzbekistan, Central Asia. A small, highly intelligent coelurosaur estimated at 1.5–2 m, it was an omnivore or carnivore hunting small vertebrates and invertebrates in the semi-arid Central Asian Cretaceous environment. Its large, forward-facing orbits suggest good binocular vision. This Central Asian troodontid adds to evidence that the Bissekty ecosystem hosted a diverse assemblage of small coelurosaurs.
