Boreortalis

Boreortalis is an extinct cracid or curassow-like galliform bird from Eocene or Oligocene deposits of the United States. These medium-sized herbivorous or omnivorous birds inhabited forested environments of Paleogene North America and represent early diversification of Cracidae or related galliforms in the northern hemisphere before the lineage became largely restricted to the Neotropics.

Herbivore

Boreortalis was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
