Related to the spectacular modern Superb and Albert's Lyrebirds, this Pleistocene species documents the ancient history of lyrebirds on the Australian continent and their persistence through Quaternary climate fluctuations.
Diet & Feeding
Leipoa was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
