† Meraxes gigas was a massive carcharodontosaurid theropod from the Late Cretaceous of Argentina, described in 2022. At ~11m and ~4,000kg, it had disproportionately small arms similar to tyrannosaurids, suggesting convergent evolution of reduced forelimbs in large theropods.
Diet & Feeding
Leipoa ocellata was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
