† Megalosauria is a clade of tetanuran theropods from the Middle Jurassic-Early Cretaceous, now restricted to Megalosaurus, Torvosaurus, and closest relatives. Originally a wastebasket group, modern phylogenetic analyses have greatly restricted its membership.

Linxiavis inaquosus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
