Megapodius alimentum was an extinct megapode from Tonga, larger than any living megapode. This Pacific island bird evolved large size in the absence of ground predators and was presumably extirpated by Polynesian hunters and habitat modification.
Diet & Feeding
Llallawavis scagliai was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
