Small to medium-sized herbivore bearing dermal armor including small osteoderms. One of the earliest known armored dinosaurs, predating stegosaurs and ankylosaurs. Known from a partial skull and postcranial elements.
Diet & Feeding
Emausaurus ernsti was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
