<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="byakudansauropus"></dinofyi-dinosaur>† Byakudansauropus is a dinosaur ichnotaxon — a trace fossil genus — from the Early Cretaceous of Japan. Despite the 'sauropus' suffix, this ichnogenus represents footprints attributed to a carnivorous dinosaur rather than a sauropod. The trackways were discovered in the Byakudan Formation, making this one of the notable Early Cretaceous theropod trace records from the Japanese archipelago, documenting predatory dinosaur activity in East Asia.
