Camelotia borealis

† Camelotia borealis is the type species of Camelotia, a large sauropodomorph dinosaur from the Late Triassic of Somerset, England. Known from several vertebrae, limb elements, and other postcranial bones, it was likely a large-bodied, semi-bipedal plant-eater at the base of the sauropod lineage. The species epithet 'borealis' refers to its northern (British) provenance. It represents an early example of the evolutionary push toward larger body sizes in the sauropodomorph clade.
