<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="gastornis"></dinofyi-dinosaur>† Gastornis — 北アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジア産の始新世の大型飛翔不能鳥類属。最初は捕食者と考えられていたが安定同位体で草食性が確認された巨大草食動物（～1.75m、～170kg）で、木の実や種子を割るための巨大な圧砕くちばしを持つ。始新世に絶滅。
