Tenontosaurus

Tenontosaurus was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.

Tenontosaurus lived during the Cretaceous Early period of the Mesozoic Era, approximately 145.0 to 100.5 million years ago.

白亜紀前期は恐竜の進化が続き、鳥脚類や初期角竜類が台頭した。顕花植物が初めて出現し陸上生態系を変革し始め、スピノサウルスなど大型獣脚類が活躍した時代。
