Anchisauripus bibractensis

†Anchisauripus bibractensis is a dinosaur ichnospecies (fossil trackway) from the Middle Triassic of France, attributed to a small bipedal carnivore. Its tridactyl footprints from the Autun Basin represent some of the earliest evidence of dinosauriform locomotion in western Europe, predating the main dinosaur radiation.

Anchisauripus bibractensis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
