Borogovia gracilicrus

Named after the borogoves of Lewis Carroll's poem 'Jabberwocky,' Borogovia gracilicrus was a troodontid theropod from the Late Cretaceous Nemegt Formation of Mongolia. About two metres long, this small carnivore is notable for the unusual structure of its second toe, which lacked the sickle-like retractable claw typical of its close relatives among the deinonychosaurs.
