Messelasturidae is an extinct family of small to medium predatory birds from the Eocene of Europe. Known mainly from the exceptional Messel preservation, these birds had strong talons and hooked beaks, occupying small vertebrate predator niches in early Cenozoic ecosystems.
Diet & Feeding
Lullula primarily fed on insects and other small invertebrates. Insectivorous dinosaurs were typically small-bodied and agile, with adaptations suited for catching small prey.
