Edmontosaurus (12 m, ~4,000 kg) was larger and heavier than Parasaurolophus (9.5 m, ~2,500 kg).
Parasaurolophus had a dramatic hollow cranial crest for vocalization; Edmontosaurus had a low soft-tissue crest or comb with no hollow resonating structure.
Edmontosaurus had one of the largest dental batteries of any dinosaur โ hundreds of teeth for grinding tough vegetation.
Both were Late Cretaceous hadrosaurs that lived alongside T. rex and were likely among its prey.
Mummified Edmontosaurus specimens preserve detailed skin impressions; Parasaurolophus skin is less well-known.
