Magnoavipes asiaticus

Musivavis amabilis was a small Eocene bird from the Messel Pit of Germany. This early Cenozoic bird, possibly related to nightjars or owlets, exemplifies the extraordinary avian diversity preserved in the Messel oil shale, one of the world's finest Eocene fossil sites.
