Arackar licanantay

Arackar licanantay

†Arackar licanantay was a titanosaur sauropod herbivore of the Late Cretaceous, discovered in the Atacama Region of Chile. Named after the Atacameño indigenous word for 'bone' and a local ethnic group, it was a large long-necked herbivore browsing on low to mid-height vegetation. Its discovery significantly extended the known geographic range of titanosaurs in South America.
