Eoraptor

Eoraptor had a varied diet that included both plants and animals. Omnivorous dinosaurs were versatile feeders, able to exploit multiple food sources, which gave them an advantage in changing environments.

Eoraptor lived during the Triassic Late period of the Mesozoic Era, approximately 237.0 to 201.4 million years ago.

The first true dinosaurs appeared during the late Triassic, including early theropods like Eoraptor and Herrerasaurus. Dinosaurs were still small and not yet dominant. The period ended with the Triassic-Jurassic extinction event.

Lizard-hipped dinosaurs

One of two major dinosaur orders, characterized by a lizard-like hip structure. Includes theropods (all carnivorous dinosaurs and birds) and sauropodomorphs (the long-necked giants).

At 1.0 meters long and 10.0 kg, Eoraptor was smaller than a human child and lighter than a human adult.
