†Ardenna gilmorei was an extinct shearwater from Pliocene to Pleistocene deposits of California, United States. A pelagic carnivore feeding on marine fish and invertebrates over the Pacific Ocean, it inhabited the California Current ecosystem during a period of major climate fluctuation. Named in honour of Robert W. Gilmore, its fossils document the historical diversity of North Pacific shearwater birds.
