†Devincenzia is an extinct genus of phorusrhacid (terror bird) from South America. Named after naturalist Joachim de Viana, this large carnivorous flightless bird possessed a massive hooked beak for dispatching prey. Terror birds dominated as apex predators in Cenozoic South America before the Great American Biotic Interchange.
