Meganhinga chilensis was a giant Miocene plotopterid-like diving bird from Chile, South America. Part of the Cenozoic radiation of wing-propelled diving birds in the Southern Hemisphere, it evolved large size for deep diving in cold Pacific waters.
Diet & Feeding
Lithornis vulturinus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
