†Dendrochen oligocaena is an extinct Oligocene duck-like waterfowl from Kazakhstan, assigned to the extinct family Presbyornithidae or early Anatidae. This herbivorous waterbird fed on aquatic vegetation and invertebrates along Paleogene lake margins. Its occurrence in Central Asia illuminates the early geographic spread of anseriform birds.
