Necrobyas edwardsi is an extinct large owlet-nightjar (Aegothelidae) from the Miocene of France. Among the largest members of this family, it inhabited Neogene European forests and hunted insects or small vertebrates at night.
Diet & Feeding
Necrobyas edwardsi was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
