Spheniscus muizoni is an extinct Miocene to Pliocene penguin from Chile, named for paleontologist Christian de Muizon. Its fossils document the early diversification of the genus Spheniscus along the Humboldt Current ecosystem.
Diet & Feeding
Spheniscus muizoni was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
