Caletodraco cottardi

† Caletodraco cottardi was a pterosaur from the Late Cretaceous of northern France, belonging to the family Azhdarchidae. As an azhdarchid, it was a large, long-necked flying reptile with an enormous wingspan, likely capable of terrestrial walking to capture prey such as small vertebrates and carrion. Known from fragmentary material, it represents one of the few Late Cretaceous pterosaur records from France. Its name references the ancient Gaulish tribe Caleti of the region.
