<dinofyi-dinosaur slug="diomedeoides"></dinofyi-dinosaur>†Diomedeoides is an extinct genus of tube-nosed seabirds (Procellariiformes) from Oligocene–Miocene deposits of Germany. Placed in the extinct family Diomedeoididae, these carnivorous seabirds may represent stem procellariids or early diomedeids. Their European Paleogene record sheds light on the early diversification of albatrosses and petrels in ancient Tethyan seas.
Diet & Feeding
Diomedeoides was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
