Miocepphus is an extinct genus of small auk-like diving birds (Alcidae) from the Miocene of the United States. These piscivorous seabirds used their wings for underwater propulsion in North Atlantic or Pacific coastal waters.

Miocepphus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
