Miomancalla wetmorei is another Miocene mancalline diving bird from California. Like other members of this extinct Pacific clade, it possessed reduced flight wings highly adapted for underwater swimming to pursue fish.
Diet & Feeding
Miomancalla wetmorei was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
