Laiyangosaurus youngi

Laiyangosaurus youngi

† Mahakala omnogovae was a tiny dromaeosaurid dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous of Mongolia. One of the smallest known dromaeosaurids at only 70cm, it provides insights into the miniaturization events that preceded the evolution of flight in the bird lineage.

The final age of dinosaurs, featuring iconic species like Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, and Velociraptor. Dinosaurs reached their peak diversity before the catastrophic asteroid impact at the Chicxulub crater ended the Mesozoic Era.
