Lonchodytes estesi

Megascops clarkii was a large scops owl from Pleistocene Caribbean islands, known from fossil deposits in the Greater Antilles. The Caribbean Quaternary avifauna included numerous large endemic owl species that were extirpated following Amerindian colonization.
