Alectroenas payandeei is an extinct blue pigeon from the Holocene subfossil record of Madagascar. Related to extant Alectroenas pigeons of Indian Ocean islands, it was a forest frugivore. Known from subfossil material in Madagascar, it went extinct following human colonization of the island. Its discovery adds to the diverse lost avifauna of Madagascar.
