Anabernicula is an extinct genus of small duck-like waterfowl from the Pliocene and Pleistocene of North America. These small dabbling ducks inhabited freshwater lakes and marshes. Several species are known from the Great Plains and western United States, with remains often found in association with other Pleistocene waterbirds. The genus may be related to modern teal (Anas).
Diet & Feeding
Anabernicula was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
