Anas sanctaehelenae

Anas sanctaehelenae, the St. Helena Duck, is an extinct flightless duck endemic to St. Helena Island in the South Atlantic. It was a large island duck that had lost the power of flight due to the island's isolation. It became extinct following human settlement of the island in the 16th century, driven by introduced cats, rats, and habitat destruction from goats and pigs.
