Anas schneideri

Anas schneideri is an extinct duck from the Miocene or Pliocene of Europe. A dabbling waterfowl described from Neogene deposits, it contributes to the diverse fossil duck fauna of pre-Pleistocene Europe. Named by Mlíkovský, it helps track the long evolutionary history of the genus Anas — today the largest genus of waterfowl — through the Neogene of the Old World.
