†Ara guadeloupensis (Guadeloupe Macaw) was an extinct macaw endemic to Guadeloupe and possibly neighbouring Lesser Antilles islands. A large fruit and seed-eating parrot, it became extinct in the early 18th century following French colonisation, habitat clearance, and hunting. Known from bones recovered from archaeological deposits and early traveller descriptions, it was the Caribbean's largest parrot.
