† Gansus zheni — an Early Cretaceous ornithuromorph bird from Gansu Province, China. Small aquatic carnivore-piscivore related to G. yumenensis. Lobed feet and wing proportions suggest diving habits similar to modern grebes. The diverse Xiagou Formation avifauna illuminates the early diversificati.
