Accipiter efficax is an extinct hawk from the Pleistocene of Australia. A medium-sized accipitrid raptor, it was related to modern goshawks and sparrowhawks. Known from fragmentary fossil material recovered from cave deposits, it was likely a woodland predator hunting small birds and mammals. It went extinct with other Australian Pleistocene megafauna.
Diet & Feeding
