†Aquila sodalis was an extinct eagle from Pleistocene North America. A large aerial predator related to modern true eagles, it inhabited open woodlands and grasslands, hunting medium-sized mammals and birds. Its fossils, found in Late Pleistocene cave and fissure deposits, document the diversity of raptors that coexisted with Pleistocene megafauna in North America.
