Morus atlanticus is an extinct Miocene or Pliocene gannet from North America. A large colonial seabird, it occupied cool North Atlantic coastal waters and plunge-dived like modern gannets to catch fish near the surface.

Morus atlanticus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
