Morus avitus is an extinct North American sulid (Sulidae) from Neogene deposits. A gannet-like piscivore, it documents the fossil history of the booby-gannet family in western Atlantic coastal and oceanic ecosystems.
Diet & Feeding
Morus avitus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
