Namapsitta praeruptorum is an extinct parrot (Psittacidae) from Namibia. Known from Neogene or Quaternary fossil material, it documents the presence of parrots in southern Africa before modern diversity was established.
Diet & Feeding
Namapsitta praeruptorum was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
