Neilus sansomae is an extinct bird from New Zealand. Known from Quaternary deposits, it represents either a wader or passerine endemic that vanished from New Zealand following Polynesian and European arrival.
Diet & Feeding
Neilus sansomae was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
