Nelepsittacus donmertoni is an extinct Holocene parrot from New Zealand. Like other Nelepsittacus species, it represents the pre-human parrot diversity of New Zealand that was dramatically reduced after Polynesian arrival.
Diet & Feeding
Nelepsittacus donmertoni was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
